Print Operative

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Linklife have an opportunity for an experienced printing operative to join our client's family-run business in Thame. As a Print Operative, you'll be responsible for operating hot foil stamping, embossing and dye-cutting machinery.

• MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operation of hot foil stamping, embossing and die-cutting machinery
  • Date inputting of all information onto the system using the pass sheet and job instructions
  • 'Make ready' on composite layouts using dies supplied and set to approved standards, checking against film supplied/copy
  • Complete paperwork/computer entries confirming details to close job on system
  • Retracting 'make ready' ensures dye's and counterforce are damage free, ready for storage and re-use
  • Damaged tooling and machinery to be identified and reported
  • Monitor stock levels and complete stock checks
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Conduct guard checks and oil checks as required

• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the offset print industry
  • Proficient in the operation of platen press machinery
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Be able to follow strict production timelines
  • Effectively communicate
  • Exercise a high degree of judgment and utilize various strategies regarding work in progress to ensure efficient production
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
